Apprentices Graduation

Cobham News

Congratulations to Luke Bentley who last week attended his apprenticeship Graduation ceremony at the Bournemouth site.  Whilst his co-workers were unable to attend in person, there was an impressive virtual turnout on Webex.

Luke first joined our Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship in 2016 with the goal of becoming a Licensed Engineer. Like many before, he had to move away from his hometown to begin his career and committed to the programme by relocating from Yorkshire to Bournemouth to stay with relatives while completing his studies.  Luke has been a high achiever throughout his 4 year apprenticeship achieving excellent results in his license exams, receiving glowing feedback from his assessors and passing his end point assessment the first time round.  During his time at Resource Group, Luke was recognised for his outstanding achievements and work ethic by receiving the Apprentice of the Year Award. He officially graduated his apprenticeship at the end of August 2020 and was offered a position in Base Maintenance working under Chris Read as an Aircraft Engineer. As well as his exciting new journey in Base Maintenance, Luke has already started putting steps into place to achieve his B License and has already sat and passed several exams.
